OBITUARY: Kenneth Brader Sr. of Palmer Heights died en route to Easton Hospital after being stricken at his home. Death was ruled natural. He was the son of John and Minnie Brader. He was the husband of Margaret Hunsberger) Brader who he married in March of 1928. He was an instrumental instructor for many years, he founded the Ken Brader and Son Music Store in Easton, PA in 1948. He retired in 1977. He performed with the Ken Brader Saracens, a Lehigh Valley area band, many years ago. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Easton. He was a past president of the Rotary Club of Easton. Mr. Brader was preceded in death by his son Kenneth E. Jr. who died Sept. 24,1986. At the time of his death Kenneth Brader Sr. was survived by his widow and three grandchildren.

OBITUARY: Kenneth E. Jr. was the son of Kenneth E. Brader Sr. and Margaret Ruth (Hunsberger)Brader. He was co-owner with his father and mother of the Ken Brader & Son Music Store in in Easton, PA. Mr. Brader was a well-know orchestra leader. A professional musician for many years, he led the former Ken Brader Jr. Orchestra, one of the many bands he had organized and played in since his high school years in Wilson. Brader and his father started a small retail and recording business at 659 Northampton St. The recording business was closed down to make more room for studios. The Braders remained there until 1955. Mr. Brader was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Easton.

Ken is a highly accomplished trumpet player and comes from a line of musicians. He attended Eastman School of Music and has played with several major big bands, including Glenn Miller’s band, Phil Woods, Philly Pop’s with Peter Nero, his own band, etc. and he is professor of music at Lafayette College in Easton.
