Selma Noack was born Dec. 19, 1897 in Harrietta Michigan, coming to Saginaw in 1902. She was married to Elmer J. Kressley May 24, 1919 in Saginaw. He survives her. She was a member of Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church and was its social ministry chairman for the Lutheran Church Women. Besides her husband, she leaves one step son, Leonard J. Kressley, Saginaw, two granddaughters, also two nieces, one aunt, Mrs. Emma Hoffmeyer, Wheeler Twp. Funeral service will take place 2 PM Wednesday at Our Saviour Evangelical Lutheran Church. Rev. William B. Nicholson will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. [*I have her daily diaries for a few years. She refers often to to: Her brothers Reinhart & Oscar, Uncle Carl, Aunt Wanda, Marty who has twins, and Aunt Minnie. She died of a massive heart attack in her garden in Saginaw. Notes for Elmer Jacob KRESSLEY: After the death of his second wife, and mother of his son, he returned to Michigan where in 1919 he married Selma Noack, b. December 19, 1897, d. June 5, 1966. In 1919 they lived in Saginaw where he worked for as a sales representative for Standard Oil until 1929. He was on the road traveling all over Michigan during the week in the company car, then home on weekends. He “gave talks” about Ethyl alcohol. He quit Standard oil, worked for Norge for a few months, then got a job with Prudential Life Ins. Co. in 1930. By 1933 they had moved to their home on Benjamin Street. He died of Emphysema and congestive heart failure at Luther Manor Nursing Home in Saginaw, Michigan April 4, 1973.

Mr. Siefka was the son of Frederick Reinholdt and Laura (Chisolm) Siefka, born October 18, 1930 in Jackson, MI. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 49 years, Gloria Jean (Ordway) Siefka, and second wife Helen J. (Brown) Siefka; infant brother, Norman Siefka; his parents; three sisters, Dorthea Robinson, Opal Siefka, and Donna Painter. He is survived by four children, Nancy K. Klein, James R. (Janice) Siefka, Joanne B. (Don) McCracken, and Dan (Kelley) Siefka; 15 grandchildren, Dustin Housh, Brice Siefka, Angela (Sam) Schutte, Kelsey (Keegan) Adriance, Jacob McCracken, Daniel, (Lydia) Siefka, Michael, Benjamin, Joanna, Joshua, Jonathan, Glory, Stephan, Sara, and Charity Siefka; great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Siefka; brother, Gordon S. (Clara) Siefka; numerous nieces and nephews; close friend, Donna North. Mr. Siefka was a graduate of Jackson High School in 1948, attended Albion College, and Jackson Community College; graduate of the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, and Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary with a Masters in Divinity. Mr. Siefka served his county in the United State Army from 1955 -1957. He retired from Aeroquip Corporation as a Mechanical Test Engineer. He was a member of Ganson Street Baptist Church. Bob enjoyed his family, gardening, exercising, being outdoors, traveling, reading God’s word, and especially serving the Lord. He was loved by many and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

- OBITUARY: Tampa (FL) Tribune, Sunday, 26 Apr 1992. RICHARD ROBINSON, Avon Park died Friday at the A. Haley Veterans Administration Hospital in Tampa. A native of Jackson, Mich. he moved to Avon Park in 1989 from LaSalle, Mich. He was a free-lance artist, a graduate of Eastern Michigan University and a medic for the Special Forces during the Vietnam War. He survived by his wife, Susan; three daughters, Jessica, Caitlin and Kellie and a son, Christopher, all of Avon Park; his parents, Robert and Dorothea, and two brothers, Lavern and William all of Monroe; and a sister Kathy Mikell of Oxford, Miss. Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home of Avon Park.”
